Within the Research Focus Data-Driven, Smart &amp; Secure Systems he participates in numerous research projects in Austria and the EU. His R&amp;D specialties are eHealth and interoperability with a focus on implementations in regional and national health records as well as in Data Spaces. He is active in international standardization, in HL7, IHE and IEEE, and contributes significantly to recommendations for IT standards in healthcare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">FH-Prof. DI Dr. Stefan Sauermann started as a researcher at the Medical University of Vienna, Department for Biomedical Engineering and Physics. Many papers and one patent resulted from projects on acquisition, analysis, reporting and management of biosignals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He is also contributing to standardization within IEEE, HL7 and as founding member of IHE Austria. From 2003 to 2015 he was chair of the Austrian ONK238 \u201eMedical Informatics\u201d, the mirror committee to ISO TC215 and CEN TC 251.
