How are existing processes changing as a result of digitalization? How does production become leaner and faster? These questions are answered in this degree program, which covers all aspects of product development and simulation with a focus on digitalization in mechanical engineering. of your hairs, but is traveling at 99.9999991% of the speed of light (= hadron beam in the LHC). As part of your studies, you will have the opportunity to do selected projects up to your Master Thesis for the world&#8217;s largest particle accelerator LHC at the European Nuclear Research Center CERN in Geneva, Switzerland&#8230; or even to work on the next generation of particle accelerators (Future Circular Collider FCC, 100 km circumference, 100 meters under the Jura Mountains and Lake Geneva).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ovl-accordion-light ovl-accordionLight\" data-block=\"accordionlight\" data-question=\"Digital Factory\"><div class=\"ovl-accordionLight__answer\">\n<p>The actual feasibility of the machines, systems and processed projects you develop can be demonstrated and verified in the <strong>institute&#8217;s own <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/digitale-fabrik\"><strong>Digital Factory<\/strong><\/a>. This &#8220;Digital Factory&#8221; is one of the <strong>most modern large-scale laboratories that <\/strong>builds tomorrow&#8217;s production processes in reality using industry-standard components (robots, CNC centers, intelligent mobile transport systems&#8230;) and interactively networks them with their digital image (&#8220;Digital Twin&#8221;).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ovl-accordion-light ovl-accordionLight\" data-block=\"accordionlight\" data-question=\"Automotive Engineering\"><div class=\"ovl-accordionLight__answer\">\n<p>Together with <strong>industry experts at <\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.avl.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>AVL List GmbH<\/strong><\/a>, you will develop and analyze <strong>future-proof vehicle drive solutions <\/strong>(hybrid and electric vehicles as well as conventional drives) and test them on the vehicle test benches at HQ in Graz &#8211; the same test benches on which Daimler, BMW, GM, Ferrari&#8230;also develop and test.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ovl-accordion-light ovl-accordionLight\" data-block=\"accordionlight\" data-question=\"Project Planning of Large-Scale Power Plant Projects\"><div class=\"ovl-accordionLight__answer\">\n<p>Together with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.yara.com\/products_services\/exhaust_gas_treatment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>industry experts<\/strong><\/a> who handle large-scale power plant projects on a full-time basis (e.g. revamp of the Spittelau waste incineration plant, flue gas cleaning plants in the USA, Asia, etc.), <strong>you will design entire industrial plants (<\/strong>basic engineering) and lay out selected parts in depth (detail engineering) &#8211; always as close as possible to the current business issues.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-ovl-accordion-light ovl-accordionLight\" data-block=\"accordionlight\" data-question=\"Formula Student Racing Team\"><div class=\"ovl-accordionLight__answer\">\n<p>You will take over central tasks and projects in the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/racing.tuwien.ac.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Formula Student Racing<\/a><\/strong> team of our cooperation partner TU Vienna &#8211; from the development of vehicle parts (e.g. DRS system) and their production to testing on the race track and accompanying them to the races.
