Most recently, the blended learning platform for&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mathe.technikum-wien.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mathematics<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/physik.technikum-wien.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">physics<\/a>&nbsp;won the prize in the \u2018Blended Learning\u2019 category at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ielassoc.org\/awards_program\/about_IELA_awards.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u2018International E-Learning Awards\u2019<\/a>. The winners of the award were announced at the International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning (ICL) in Thailand at the end of September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe online platform has turned out to be an excellent resource for acquiring skills through self-study and at face-to-face events and is used intensively by both UAS Technikum Wien students and external users. The platform is not intended as a substitute for attendance but has been created as part of a blended learning approach to independent learning,\u201d said&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/en\/staff\/gerd-krizek\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Prof. Dr Gerd Ch. Krizek<\/a>, Deputy Director of the Teaching and Learning Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s not the first accolade that the blended learning platform has received. The course has already been recognized this year with an \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/newsroom\/news\/teaching-and-learning-center-erhaelt-den-elearning-award-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eLearning Award<\/a>\u2019 from eLearning Journal. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>E-learning is not only a
