The initiative is a cooperation of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmdw.gv.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Federal Ministry for Digitalization and Business Location<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bmbwf.gv.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Federal Ministry for Education, Science and Research<\/a>, the <a href=\"http:\/\/wko.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Austrian Federal Economic Chamber<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/austrianstartups.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Austrian Startups<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ifte.at\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">IFTE<\/a>. For the implementation of such an idea workshop, interested school classes are networked with universities and other institutions as &#8220;hosts&#8221;. The campaign has been running since June, and five Entrepreneurship Weeks will be held in each province until December. The FH Technikum Wien is also participating as a partner organization and held an Entrepreneurship Week from September 27 to 30.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of the campaign is to arouse young people&#8217;s interest in the topics of start-ups and entrepreneurship. As part of the initiative, the FHTW hosted 4th grade students from the Department of Industrial Engineering at HTL M\u00f6dling. Divided into teams, the participants developed their own concepts and project ideas. They were coached by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/en\/staff\/thomas-wala\/\">Thomas Wala<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/en\/staff\/maximilian-lackner\/\">Maximilian Lackner<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/en\/staff\/katharina-felleitner-goll\/\">Katharina Felleitner-Goll<\/a>, with the support of trainers Florian Schenk (Porsche) and Steve Lourdesamy (Adverity). At the end of the creative workshop, the students had to present their ideas in a pitch, and a jury selected the best concepts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8220;DigiKey&#8221; project was chosen as the winner. This is an app that uses a non-fungible token (NFT), i.e. a type of digital proof of authenticity, to replace an access card in a company, for example. The students received 150 euros in prize money. Two teams came in joint second: The &#8220;Winecut&#8221; project is based on upcycling old wine bottles into lamps, candles or storage containers. &#8220;Moovin Kangaroo&#8221;, on the other hand, is an app for carpooling for pupils and students, including secure payment processing, the possibility of establishing contact and legitimization of the participants.
