From January 30th<\/sup> to February 3rd<\/sup>, 2023 the last Transnational Meeting Week of the research project PrepaCare(XR)<\/a> took place at UAS Technikum Wien. Delegations from all project partners were working on the finalization of the project, which will end by February 28th<\/sup>, 2023. The highlight of the week was the dissemination event, where the developed solutions were presented and could be tested.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PrepaCare(XR) started in March 2021 and involves experts from UAS Technikum Wien, Lapland UAS, University of Bergamo, Universidade de Tr\u00e1s-os-Montes e Alto Douro and the Centro Hospitalar de Tr\u00e1s-os-Montes e Alto Douro. The overall goal was to support and improve learning, teaching and training in the healthcare sector by implementing new concepts and technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

E-learning course, interactive self-learning parts and integrated VR environment <\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The outcomes of the research project include a collection on currently used teaching and training concepts, an e-learning course including theoretical knowledge, interactive self-learning parts and an integrated VR environment. Based on the simulations and training evaluations performed by medical experts, a Facilitator Handbook was created, which gives insights on how to plan and structure courses and trainings according to contemporary concepts. Furthermore, all elements have to follow tailored design requirements. These are summarized in a common Design Guideline document and cover also several application examples.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the two years of PrepaCare(XR), several events were conducted. These aimed at evaluating the results achieved so far and defining further steps. Besides the three Transnational Project Meetings \u2013 online, in Italy and in Portugal \u2013 a Learning, Teaching and Training (LTT) activity took place. During that week, 26 students and the same number of professionals worked on evaluating and improving the project outcomes.

The final event on February 3, 2023 at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien marked the final phase of the PrepaCare(XR) project. By end of February 2023, not only this chapter is to be closed, but a new chapter with a follow-up project is already in the planning stage.
