The girls from the Caritas Girls’ Center Peppa were able to gain a fascinating insight into the day-to-day work of Sarah Langer<\/a> and Iris-Sabine Nemec<\/a> as part of the cooperation between the research projects BERTL<\/a> (Barriefree Design for Teaching and Learning) and ALMAH<\/a> (All girls can make tech) at UAS Technikum Wien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit to the #peppam\u00e4dchenzentrum was not only informative, but also extremely motivating for both sides. The two are researchers and lecturers and talked about their careers, their training and the challenges they face in the world of medical technology. The diversity of the demanding field of medical technology, from prosthetics to modern digital technologies, also inspired the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strong role models for young women<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The ALMAH project aims to provide strong role models for young women in order to interest them in a career in technology. The visitors were able to infect the girls with their enthusiasm and inspire them to visit the FHTW with their specialist knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
