A group of Erasmus+ exchange students (incomings) at UAS Technikum Wien went on a fascinating excursion to the Neoom company in Freistadt, Upper Austria, as part of the “Building and Solar Energy” course at the International Campus. The students came from Spain, France, Croatia and other countries.
In an interdisciplinary setting, they gained a comprehensive perspective on innovative technologies in the field of sustainable energy. The Faculty <\/a>and Department of Industrial Engineering<\/a> were involved in the excursion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the students, five FHTW employees also took part in the exciting tour through the world of Neoom: Manuel Trampert<\/a>, Daniel \u00d6sterreicher<\/a>, David Sengl<\/a>, Svitlana Alyokhina<\/a>, Alexander Erber<\/a> and Momir Tabakovic<\/a>. With their specialist knowledge and enthusiasm, they made a significant contribution to shedding light on the diverse aspects of sustainable energy projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Battery Storage, E-Car Charging Stations, Financing Products<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The students had the opportunity to explore a variety of products, including battery storage systems, e-car charging stations, PV systems, energy management apps and financing products. The excursion thus offered not only technical insights, but also an understanding of the economic aspects of sustainable energy projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The highlight of the excursion was undoubtedly the tour of the Neoom building, which is designed as a plus-energy building, i.e. it produces more energy than it consumes over the course of a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students not only gained an insight into the sustainable construction method, which relies primarily on wood, but were also able to experience battery storage and charging stations up close. The excursion thus offered a holistic insight into sustainable energy innovations.
The excursion was financially supported by the International Office of UAS Technikum Wien.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
