As part of an excursion to T\u00dcV Austria, students on the Bachelor’s degree course in Mechanical Engineering<\/a> (5th semester) at UAS Technikum Wien gained exciting insights into the fields of materials testing, inspection, certification and training and further education at the Vienna-Liesing site.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A particular highlight of the excursion was the presentation of Austria’s largest and most powerful industrial computer tomograph (ICT), whose versatile application possibilities were impressively demonstrated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Here we learned first-hand about the importance of materials testing and damage analysis in industrial practice,” says Patrick Eisner<\/a>, head of the degree program. Finally, the students were introduced to the advanced Master’s degree course in Mechanical Engineering<\/a>, in which a graduate and former class speaker was also actively involved.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
