She emphasizes that avoiding tire abrasion is currently the only effective solution to the environmental impact of this problem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cGreen\u201d bicycle tires on the test bench<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avoidance clearly means not driving or cycling. Where this is not possible, alternative products are needed. In fact, there are already products on the market. As part of the City of Vienna competence team \u201cMicroplastics and nanoparticles as environmental risks\u201d, Simb\u00f6ck examined the environmental compatibility of \u201cgreen\u201d bicycle tires from a leading market supplier.
