UAS Technikum Wien was strongly represented with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/personal\/alexander-erber\/\">Alexander Erber<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/personal\/bernhard-grasel\/\">Bernhard Grasel<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/personal\/momir-tabakovic\/\">Momir Tabakovic<\/a> and presented pioneering projects in the field of photovoltaics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h2\" data-style-level=\"h4\">EU PVSEC: A global platform for photovoltaic innovations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The EU PVSEC is regarded as the world&#8217;s largest conference for photovoltaic research, technologies and applications. It brings together international scientists, industry representatives and political decision-makers to discuss the latest developments in the field of solar energy. In addition to lectures, the event also offers a comprehensive exhibition of the PV industry, where innovative technologies and concepts are presented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h2\" data-style-level=\"h4\">UAS Technikum Wien: Research in the field of street solar and building-integrated photovoltaics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alexander Erber and Momir Tabakovic presented two of their latest research projects at the conference. In a presentation, they explained the \u201cFailure Mode Analysis\u201d of Austria&#8217;s first street-integrated photovoltaic system. This work, supervised by Bernhard Grasel, investigates the reliability and efficiency of PV systems integrated directly into the road surface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, Momir Tabakovic presented his research on international policy and industrial measures for building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) as part of the International Energy Agency <a href=\"https:\/\/iea-pvps.org\/research-tasks\/enabling-framework-for-the-development-of-bipv\/\">IEA PVPS Task 15<\/a>. This work aims to promote the development of BIPV markets worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h2\" data-style-level=\"h4\">International networking and Austrian PV research<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition to the scientific contributions, Erber and Tabakovic were also actively involved in the Austrian pavilion, which was managed by the <a href=\"https:\/\/tppv.at\">Austrian Photovoltaic Technology Platform (TPPV)<\/a>. There they presented the latest research results from Austria and networked with international partners.The conference thus provided an ideal platform to strengthen Austria&#8217;s role in global PV research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UAS Technikum Wien&#8217;s participation in the EU PVSEC once again demonstrates the importance of the university as a driver of innovation in the
