A year after the delegation trip to the Netherlands in October 2023, three colleagues of Life Science Engineering together with the International Office returned to Delft for meetings at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences as well as the Faculty of Applied Sciences.

The first day kicked off with an insightful exchange on the Master\u2018s Environmental Engineering and identifying correlations with UAS Technikum Wien\u2019s program Ecotoxicology and Environmental Management. After a tour through the laboratories, the weekly colloquium showcased two presentations from research teams. The engaging discussions that followed highlighted the innovative research initiatives underway at TU Delft. As the evening approached, the delegations gathered for a tour of the Industrial Design Building. The tour allowed participants to explore the creative spaces that foster innovation and design thinking on campus. The day concluded with a dinner, where participants and a current Outgoing students of UAS Technikum Wien enjoyed good food and lively conversation, reflecting on the day\u2019s events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insights into the faculty and research department<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The second day began with a meeting with the Department of Environmental Biotechnology. The delegation received valuable insights into the Department and its research section with a tour through the laboratories as well as information on the Master\u2019s program Life Science and Technology. To round off the program, the delegation was introduced to the Engineering Doctorate (EngD) in Bioprocess Engineering, a professional doctorate aimed at PhD candidates in the workplace, emphasizing its applied focus.

Overall, the two-day program left the delegation inspired and eager for future collaborations. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this visit informative and enjoyable!
