As part of the lecture \u201cElectromagnetic Compatibility\u201d, students recently visited Seibersdorf Labor GmbH<\/a> together with Peter R\u00f6ssler<\/a> (lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering & Entrepreneurship<\/a> at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien). The lecture is held by Kurt Lamedschwandner<\/a> as part of the course \u201cSelected Topics in Embedded Engineering\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over two days, the students were offered a practice-oriented supplement to the theoretical basics taught in their studies in Seibersdorf, Lower Austria. The highlights included laboratory exercises for measuring interference field strengths in the state-of-the-art anechoic chamber and measuring the shielding effectiveness of device housings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exciting demonstrations in the EMC laboratory<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Another exercise dealt with the numerical simulation of field strength distribution, as used in the immunity testing of automotive components. The students gained a thorough insight into the workings and challenges of modern EMC testing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visit was organized and supervised by Kurt Lamedschwandner and his team, who provided exciting demonstrations and practical explanations to ensure a thorough understanding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This visit highlights the successful integration of theory and practice at the UAS Technikum Wien. Thanks to the cooperation with leading partners such as Seibersdorf Labor GmbH, students are able to gain important experience that optimally prepares them for their future work in industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
