The starting signal for the We-Bike project, which is co-financed by the EU as part of Erasmus+, was given on January 30, 2025. The international partners met in Brussels to set the course for the next two and a half years. The aim of the project is to further develop and optimize e-bike mobility in Europe. UAS Technikum Wien is represented by the experts Lena Wurzinger<\/a>, Savvas Stafylidis<\/a>, and Markus Eckelt<\/a> (among others to be seen in the picture).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research and networking for sustainable mobility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The project covers a range of topics: on the one hand, in-depth research is being conducted into the use of e-bikes in urban areas. In addition, educational opportunities for relevant stakeholders are being developed, safety guidelines are being drafted and recommendations for political decision-makers are being prepared. Particular emphasis is placed on cooperation between public institutions, sports organizations and educational institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Contribution to sustainable urban mobility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With partners from all over Europe, including ANCI Piemonte (Italy), EPSI, FEDAS, Verde Foundation, Orange Sport Forum and Everythink, the We-Bike project will make a decisive contribution to sustainable urban mobility. UAS Technikum Wien is actively contributing its expertise in sports technology, biomechanics and ergonomics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
