Three representatives from the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien were in attendance: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/personal\/erich-markl\/\">Erich Markl<\/a> (Head of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/fakultaeten\/industrial-engineering\/\">Industrial Engineering<\/a> Department), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/personal\/david-sengl\/\">David Sengl<\/a> (Head of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/departments\/industrial-engineering\/\">Climate-fit Buildings and Districts<\/a> Competence Field), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/personal\/momir-tabakovic\/\">Momir Tabakovic<\/a> (Head of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/departments\/industrial-engineering\/\">Renewable Energy Technologies<\/a> Competence Field). The purpose of the event was to strengthen existing partnerships with Siemens and establish new ones in the field of smart infrastructure and sustainable energy supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h2\" data-style-level=\"h4\">Focus on innovation and networking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the motto \u201cCreating value with certainty,\u201d Siemens presented its latest developments in building, security, and energy technology. Participants gained exciting insights into forward-looking technologies and had the opportunity to exchange ideas with experts in specialist presentations and an extensive exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The afternoon began with an opening address by <strong>Patricia Neumann<\/strong>, CEO of Siemens Austria, followed by keynote speeches on resilience, security technology, and hospital infrastructure. In the late afternoon, the focus was on compact technical presentations on three technical innovations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>blue GIS<\/strong>: F-gas-free energy distribution for environmentally friendly network technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>SENTRON ECPD<\/strong>: New standards in protective switching technology<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>BACnet Secure Connect \/ KNX Secure: Increased cyber security in building automation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A special highlight was the closing presentation by well-known presenter and adventurer Tom Walek, who gave an impressive account of his experiences on his \u201cExpedition to the South Pole.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h2\" data-style-level=\"h4\">Platform for new ideas from industry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien was represented with its expertise in industrial engineering, sustainable building technologies, and renewable energy systems. The event provided a platform to showcase the university&#8217;s know-how and at the same time gather new ideas from industry.
