On June 14, 2025, UAS Technikum Wien became a stage for young math talents: We hosted the m\u00b3 competition<\/a>, an exciting team competition for students aged 11 to 14, organized by the University of Vienna as part of the \u201cMathematik macht Freude<\/a>\u201d (Math is Fun) project. This year, a total of 230 motivated students from Vienna, Lower Austria, and Burgenland competed against each other in teams of three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within 90 minutes, the teams faced a varied marathon of tasks that required quick thinking and good teamwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year, the m\u00b3 competition shows that math doesn’t have to be dry or boring. Instead, it creates a lively atmosphere where arithmetic, logical thinking, and solving exciting problems together take center stage. No digital aids are used\u2014just full concentration and the joy of tinkering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A goodie bag rounded off the experience for all participants. We are delighted to have been part of this fantastic initiative!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
