They were accompanied by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/personal\/raphael-drexel\/\">Raphael Drexel<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/personal\/david-sengl\/\">David Sengl<\/a> (both from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/departments\/industrial-engineering\/\">competence field Climate-fit Buildings and Districts<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From June 23 to 27, 2025, a varied program of specialist lectures, workshops, and excursions was on the agenda at Zagreb University of Applied Sciences. The focus was on practical and international exchange on best practices in waste management \u2013 a topic of high relevance for the environment, technology, and society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h2\" data-style-level=\"h4\">Interdisciplinary exchange and best practice examples<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Together with partner universities from <strong>Finland<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.turkuamk.fi\/en\/\">Turku AMK<\/a>), <strong>Romania<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.deepl.com\/de\/ase.ro\">Academia de Studii Economice din Bucure\u0219ti<\/a>) and <strong>Croatia<\/strong> (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tvz.hr\/en\/\">Zagreb University of Applied Sciences<\/a>), challenges and solutions in waste management were discussed. The students worked in international groups on case studies and developed creative approaches to waste prevention, separation, and recycling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Excursions took them to <strong>waste separation facilities<\/strong> and the coastal city of <strong>Zadar<\/strong>, where regional best practice examples were presented.
