From June 25 to 27, 2025, 45 students from the two bachelor’s degree programs in Electronics<\/a> and Mechatronics\/Robotics<\/a> at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien went on a three-day excursion to Munich and Upper Austria. They were accompanied by Wilfried Kubinger<\/a> (Head of the Department of Electronic Engineering & Entrepreneurship) and Klemens Schulmeister<\/a> (Head of the Bachelor’s program in Mechatronics\/Robotics).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Start of the trip<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday, June 25, the group set off from Vienna. After traveling together, the participants checked into their rooms at the Landhotel Kastenwirt<\/strong> and the HASI Hotel<\/strong> in Grafing near Munich. The evening was free for individual activities \u2013 an opportunity to explore the surroundings or visit one of the local restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trade fair visit: automatica 2025 in Munich<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thursday was all about the international trade fair automatica<\/a>, one of the world’s leading trade fairs for intelligent automation and robotics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After breakfast, the group traveled to the Munich Trade Fair Center, where they spent the day exploring the latest developments and innovations in the fields of robotics, medical technology, automation, and Industry 4.0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The trade fair visit not only gave the students a comprehensive insight into the latest technologies and trends, but also the opportunity to make direct contact with exhibitors and experts from the industry. The day ended with a dinner together at the hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Company visit to GE HealthCare in Zipf<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, June 27, the trip took the group to Upper Austria, where they visited the GE HealthCare Austria site in Zipf<\/a> (V\u00f6cklabruck district).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There, the students were given an exclusive tour of the production site and gained valuable insights into the processes of an internationally active medical technology company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
