On October 23, 2025<\/strong>, the 69th Vienna Deep Learning Meetup<\/strong> took place at UAS Technikum Wien<\/strong>. Numerous AI enthusiasts gathered to discuss current developments in the field of generative artificial intelligence \u2014 this time with a focus on real-time video generation using diffusion models<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


After the welcome address by David Meyer<\/strong><\/a><\/strong> (Program Director of the Bachelor\u2019s in Business Informatics<\/a> and Master\u2019s in Data Science<\/a>), Rahim Entezari<\/strong><\/a><\/strong>, Research Scientist at Stability AI<\/strong><\/a><\/strong>, presented his talk \u201cReal-time Video Generation with Diffusion Models\u201d<\/em>. He shared the latest research results on fast and high-quality video synthesis, explaining recent innovations in diffusion and transformer architectures \u2014 particularly in sparse attention<\/strong>, distillation<\/strong>, and autoregressive methods<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These advances make it possible to generate video content not only efficiently but also with impressive visual quality \u2014 a crucial step toward interactive, creative, and production-ready applications.
Following the talk, participants had the opportunity to dive deeper into the evening\u2019s topics and connect with others in the growing Vienna AI community during the networking and discussion session<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the Speaker<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Rahim Entezari<\/strong> is a Research Scientist at Stability AI<\/strong> and played a key role in developing Stable Diffusion 3 and 3.5<\/strong>. He earned his PhD with distinction from TU Graz<\/strong> in the field of Artificial Intelligence and is currently conducting research on new methods for real-time video generation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
