In mid-November, UAS Technikum Wien was awarded the hochschuleundfamilie<\/em> certificate in the Aula der Wissenschaften for its commitment to family friendliness. The state seal of approval for family-friendly higher education policy was presented by Claudia Plakolm, Federal Minister for Europe, Integration, and Family Affairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Managing Director Florian Eckkrammer, Bakk., “the \u2018hochschuleundfamilie\u2019 certificate is an important sign both internally and externally. It confirms our commitment to creating a working and studying environment that actively enables and promotes the compatibility of work, study, and family life. We want to actively respond to developments in the labor market, but also to the needs of our employees and students in all situations. For us, family friendliness is an expression of sustainable social responsibility and, beyond that, a strategic success factor with which we want to increase our attractiveness as an employer.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Target agreement with concrete measures<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The regained basic certificate includes a target agreement with concrete measures to be implemented by 2028, covering the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Package of measures for family-friendly study organization<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Package of measures to strengthen family-friendly science and teaching<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Package of measures for flexible work organization oriented toward different stages of life<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Measures in the areas of qualification and leadership<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Measures in the area of parental leave and sabbatical management<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Coaching services for employees<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Establishment of formats for increased presence of family-related topics\/services<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Needs assessment regarding the expansion of childcare per location and listing of offers<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Measures with a focus on caring for relatives<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Package of measures for a family-friendly information and communication policy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Natalie K\u00f6nig, Head of Human Resources<\/em> at the Technical University, is also delighted with the quality mark: \u201cWe are very proud to have been awarded the hochschuleundfamilie<\/em> certificate. Achieving this certificate would not have been possible without the dedicated cooperation at our university. I would like to express my sincere thanks to all employees who contributed to this important step with their ideas and commitment. Together, we are sending a strong signal for family-friendliness in practice and a supportive working environment.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
