A large part of the exchange was devoted to the sports technology company <a href=\"https:\/\/zone14.ai\/\"><strong>zone14<\/strong><\/a>, whose AI-based solutions for use in soccer training were presented and discussed in detail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h2\" data-style-level=\"h4\">UAS Technikum Wien presents teaching, research, and innovation promotion<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rector <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/personal\/sylvia-geyer\/\"><strong>Sylvia Geyer<\/strong><\/a> opened the meeting with a presentation of the university and its focus on teaching, research, and economic cooperation. She explained how UAS Technikum Wien is building technological expertise for Vienna as a business location and what framework conditions contribute to the promotion of research and innovative projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Rafael Rasinger, head of the Innovation, Scaleups &amp; Networks team, then presented the Entrepreneurship Initiative at UAS Technikum Wien. He emphasized the importance of cooperation between the university, start-ups, and companies and used several examples to show how students and experts are working together to further develop technology-oriented start-ups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h2\" data-style-level=\"h4\">zone14: AI makes soccer analysis more efficient<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the second part of the visit, <strong>zone14<\/strong> presented its AI-supported platform for video analysis in soccer. The team led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/lukas-groemer\/\"><strong>Lukas Gr\u00f6mer<\/strong><\/a> (co-founder), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/tobias-gahleitner\/\"><strong>Tobias Gahleitner<\/strong><\/a> (co-founder), and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/in\/oswald-schwarz\/\"><strong>Oswald Schwarz<\/strong><\/a> (sales &amp; business) showed how coaches and analysts can use automatically generated data to accurately evaluate game situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Among other things, the technology enables:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Data-based training planning<\/strong>, adapted to performance indicators<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Relief for coaching staff<\/strong>, as AI accelerates and simplifies analysis processes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Automated highlights<\/strong>, such as goal clips for social media<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zone14 deliberately targets clubs below the top international clubs \u2013 where digital tools can create particularly high added value. Many associations and clubs already use zone14. In addition to well-known professional clubs such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.skrapid.at\/\"><strong>SK Rapid Wien<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/fk-austria.at\/\"><strong>FK Austria Wien<\/strong><\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/wienersportclub.com\/\"><strong>Wiener Sport-Club<\/strong><\/a>, amateur teams such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fcstadlau.at\/\"><strong>FC Stadlau<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.svblauweiss.at\/\"><strong>SV Gro\u00dfweikersdorf<\/strong><\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tfv.at\/tfv\/Verein\/6010?SK-Rum\"><strong>SK Rum<\/strong><\/a> also rely on the zone14 system, and others are showing keen interest in the solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h2\" data-style-level=\"h4\">Insight into Vienna&#8217;s innovation ecosystem<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two representatives used the visit to gain a comprehensive picture of the startup landscape in the vicinity of the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien. Filip Worotynski highlighted the international relevance of such technology projects and emphasized that innovations such as those from zone14 contribute significantly to the visibility of Vienna as a location for innovation.
