At the end of November 2025, the Pipelife Austria<\/strong><\/a> production site in Wiener Neudorf was visited by students from the Bachelor’s program<\/strong> International Business and Engineering<\/strong><\/a> at UAS Technikum Wien, accompanied by program director Sabine Traxler<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The excursion offered a comprehensive insight into modern plastics processing and the highly automated processes of an internationally active company based in Austria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insights into plastics production and manufacturing technologies<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the tour, the students gained detailed insights into the manufacture of technical plastic pipes \u2013 from material preparation to extrusion. Particularly impressive were the production lines, where plastic profiles several meters long and still hot emerge from the machines. These impressions highlighted the connection between materials science, process control, and engineering practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exchange with experts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The students took the opportunity to discuss questions about production processes, quality management, and materials technology directly with experts from Pipelife. The entertaining and practical approach of Sascha Tr\u00e4ger <\/strong>(Pipelife Austria), who guided the group through parts of the production facility, was particularly well received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authentic impressions of everyday industrial life<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The event demonstrated how valuable direct exchange between universities and companies is for practice-oriented education. The students were able to deepen their technical knowledge and at the same time gain authentic impressions of everyday industrial life. The University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien would like to thank Pipelife Austria<\/strong> for the informative factory tour and the warm hospitality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
