The goal is to give students the opportunity to test their own projects related to fluid mechanics in the wind tunnel at UAS Technikum Wien\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.technikum-wien.at\/energybase\/\">ENERGYbase<\/a>. This provides young talents with practical insights into experimental aerodynamics and engineering methodology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h2\" data-style-level=\"h4\">Aerodynamic effects visualized in model testing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A first test run has already been successfully conducted: A student investigated the influence of the Halo driver protection system on drag in Formula 1 race cars. The measurements demonstrated how aerodynamic effects can be visualized and quantified in model experiments.
