On June 22, 2026, UAS Technikum Wien, together with three partner schools, transformed the Village Cinema Wien Mitte into a future lab. Approximately 110 students from BG\/BRG Klosterneuburg, HTL Spengergasse, and HTL M\u00f6dling took part in the free event \u201cShaping the Future: Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy.\u201d The event was part of the Horizon Europe project \u201cProLight<\/a>,\u201d which was coordinated by Momir Tabakovic<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can a climate-friendly future be shaped in concrete terms?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For two hours, the focus was on the question of how a climate-friendly future can be shaped in concrete terms. An impressive short film demonstrated the difference that building retrofits and renewable energy make in our cities. In interactive gaming sessions\u2014ranging from escape-the-room elements to strategy challenges\u2014the young people worked on tasks related to energy efficiency and CO\u2082 reduction. In the hands-on lab, they explored how to build a stable energy system or plan a climate-friendly park. The program was rounded out by insights into the Bachelor\u2019s in Renewable Energy<\/a> and Dual Bachelor\u2019s in Hydrogen Technology<\/a> programs at UAS Technikum Wien\u2014ideal for anyone who wants to help develop real-world solutions for the energy transition in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don\u2019t just be a spectator of the climate crisis\u2014become a director of the energy transition<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The event combined career guidance with curriculum content from physics and technology and demonstrated that students are not mere spectators of the climate crisis but can become architects of the energy transition themselves. UAS Technikum Wien would like to thank all participating classes from BG\/BRG Klosterneuburg, HTL Spengergasse, and HTL M\u00f6dling for their enthusiasm and engaged participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
