As part of a customized workshop, the fourth-year students experienced, through four rotating hands-on sessions, how the interfaces between modern IT, clinical processes, and patient-centered medical technology actually interlock in real-world scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h2\" data-style-level=\"h4\">eCard Interfaces for Secure Clinical Data Exchange<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the \u201cDigital Health\u201d station, the students tested the secure clinical data exchange of the future using FHIR standards and eCard interfaces. The \u201cExtended Reality in Medicine\u201d module offered immersive insights into software-supported visualization of anatomical data for clinical training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h2\" data-style-level=\"h4\">Patient Monitoring in a Simulated Emergency<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the \u201cIntensive Care Medical Devices &amp; Workflows\u201d section, the students learned about life-support systems and patient monitoring in a simulated emergency. Finally, in the \u201cAccessibility &amp; Digital Technologies\u201d section, they explored how assistive systems ensure patients\u2019 independence in everyday life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This direct exchange builds an ideal bridge to our practice-oriented Bachelor&#8217;s program in <em>Biomedical Engineering<\/em> as well as our Master&#8217;s programs in <em>Medical Engineering &amp; eHealth<\/em> and <em>Health and Rehabilitation Technology<\/em>.
