The physics warm up offers students the opportunity to brush up on these basics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Course content includes:<\/li><li>Physical quantities and units<\/li><li>Mechanics<\/li><li>Thermodynamics<\/li><li>Electricity and magnetism<\/li><li>Oscillations and waves<\/li><li>Optics<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div data-block=\"grid-column\" class=\"wp-block-ovl-grid-column\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h3\" data-style-level=\"\">Computer Science &#8211; Warm up<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The warm-up courses in computer science are intended as an introduction to computer science and comprise the most basic concepts of programming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They include the following subjects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Theoretical introduction<\/li><li>Basic algorithms<\/li><li>Defining problems and describing solutions<\/li><li>Basic elements of a program<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div data-block=\"grid-column\" class=\"wp-block-ovl-grid-column\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h3\" data-style-level=\"\">Electrical Engineering &#8211; Warm up<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This course provides a basic introduction to electrical engineering and explains basic terms such as voltage, current and resistance. Moreover, the students will learn how to operate laboratory equipment. No prior knowledge in electrical engineering is required to attend this course!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It includes the following subjects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Voltage &amp; current<\/li><li>Ohm&#8217;s law<\/li><li>Calculation of direct current networks<\/li><li>Simulation of direct current networks<\/li><li>Laboratory equipment know-how<\/li><li>Preparation of minutes<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div data-block=\"grid-column\" class=\"wp-block-ovl-grid-column\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h3\" data-style-level=\"\">English &#8211; Warm up<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The English warm-up courses are intended to prepare students for the requirements of the first and third semesters in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They include the following subjects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Improvement of grammar, vocabulary and<\/li><li>pronunciation<\/li><li>Social and personal skills (how to<\/li><li>describe oneself and others, talk about the job,<\/li><li>small talk, etc.)<\/li><\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div data-block=\"grid-column\" class=\"wp-block-ovl-grid-column\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-ovl-heading\" data-accent=\"true\" data-tag=\"h3\" data-style-level=\"\">German &#8211; Warm up<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The German warm-up course is intended to improve the students&#8217; written language skills, and mainly addresses first-year students with a native tongue other that German.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It includes the following subjects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Preparation of the writing process, and introduction to German as a language of science<\/li><li>Writing strategies<\/li><li>Summary and excerpt<\/li><li>Term paper, abstract and handout<\/li><li>Minutes and practical training
