This workshop brings quantum computing directly to you, allowing participants to engage with the essential phenomena that power this revolutionary field.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this workshop, you will interact with real quantum hardware to explore fundamental quantum concepts such as <em>superposition<\/em> and<em> entanglement<\/em>, which serve as the building blocks of quantum mechanics and quantum computing. It enables two parties to produce a shared <em>random secret key<\/em> known only to them, which then can be used to encrypt and decrypt messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this workshop you will explore the first secure QKD protocol that allows two parties to securely communicate a private key for use in one-time pad encryption. These circuits are developed to manipulate quantum states for specific computational tasks or experimental outcomes. Quantum programs may be executed on quantum processors or simulated on classical hardware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this workshop you will explore how qubits and gates are implemented using the open-source python-based software Qiskit.
