But not all students, health care professionals and physicians have direct access to expensive medical equipment or the opportunity to experience the equipment and capabilities specific to their field. He received his PhD in Electrical Engineering &amp; Computer Sciences from the Universidade de Tr\u00e1s-os-Montes e Alto Douro in Portugal (2018), after his Bachelor and Master studies of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien, Austria (2009, 2011). For three years, he was deputy program director of the Biomedical Engineering Sciences Master's program and coordinates the research projects in the research area \" Data-Driven, Smart &amp; Secure Systems \" for the Life Science Engineering Department. In addition, his tasks include the coordination of international activities of the Life Science Engineering faculty. Mathias Forjan is an ISTQB certified Software Tester and former IHE Connectathon Monitor. He is a lecturer and trainer on IHE Connectathon, software quality management and software risk management. In the Biomedical Engineering (Bachelor) and Medical Engineering &amp; eHealth (Master) courses, Mathias Forjan teaches medical device technology, ventilation technology and aerosol measurement technology. Applied Mathematics focuses on the research and application of technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), augmented and virtual reality, and blockchain in its four areas of expertise: \u201cArtificial Intelligence &amp; Data Analytics,\u201d \u201cDigital Enterprise &amp; UX,\u201d \u201cSoftware Engineering &amp; Architecture,\u201d and \u201cCloud Services &amp; Security.\u201d augmented and virtual reality, and blockchain, as well as the general concept of digitalization.<\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p>The research and development activities summarized in the research focus \u201cData Driven, Smart &amp;
